Sure, every property owner in town is putting out recycling bins and changing furnace filters. But, while some owners are opting to put utility consumption back in the hands of the renter, that doesn’t necessarily ensure that usage is at a minimum. It simply insures that the resident foots the bill. StuartCo employs an Executive Director of Building Operations who spends a great deal of time studying our mechanical systems at each property and deploying efficiency tactics that do result in minimizing usage. We continuously research available rebates to update systems. These rebates and tactics have resulted in an 18% reduction to our energy costs. By doing this, we are able to keep our resident paid utilities low compared to our competitors, and our usage at a minimum, which helps reduce our property operation costs.
