October Employee of the Month

Congratulations Andrea, many thanks for all that you do!

Andrea is always a great assistant; however, she really shined this month and needs to be recognized! A few weeks ago I was unexpectedly assigned to bed rest by my doctor, right before our annual Resident Appreciation Week at Riverview. The week is always very busy, with many daily activities and large evening events for our 450+ residents. It would have been understandable if Appreciation Week were to be postponed due to my absence, but Andrea eagerly volunteered to take it all on! Oh, and to top things off, it was also StuartCo’s annual Charity Competition Fundraising Week, adding to a very busy week already!

Andrea showed real leadership by coordinating a very successful week. A few big events she organized included: A breakfast for all residents; a Mexican Fiesta Night in which Andrea worked with one of our residents whose family owns Teresa’s Mexican Restaurant to arrange a buffet meal for all residents and the property provided drinks and desserts (Andrea did the shopping); and a Happy Hour themed evening event which had record attendance! These were just three of the big events that took place amongst several other smaller ones, and Andrea
lead it all. Our entire team at Riverview chipped in, but Andrea took on the biggest role of planning for this as well as executing our Charity Competition events that week. As everyone knows, it’s a lot of work to prepare for those types of events, and she did it all with a smile. Our residents could not have been happier, and they continue to thank us for our efforts that week. Thank you, Andrea. Without you it would not have
happened!
