StuartCo Announces Ground-breaking on New Apartments on Southdale Land

StuartCo and Simon Property Group have commenced construction of One Southdale Place Apartments on the parcel of land located at the northwest corner of the intersection of 69th Street and York Avenue South in Edina.

Perspective - Across Street-Final_smKraus-Anderson Construction Company is the selected builder of the project designed by Minneapolis-based BKV Group. The sophisticated multifamily project aims to complement the upscale France and York momentum of the newly remodeled Southdale Mall.

The five-acre development will feature 232 units spread over three buildings, a five-story, three-story, and the largest a ten-story high-rise. Open floor plans, oversized windows, nine-foot ceilings and luxury finishes including granite countertops and stainless steel appliances will be featured in the units. Resident amenities will include a professionally decorated community room, rooftop terrace, outdoor pool, full fitness center, business center, underground heated parking and landscaped walking paths with bocce court.

The project will include sustainable features such as green courtyard, energy-efficient in-home appliances, individual heating and cooling, walkability with close proximity to transit, and more.

One Southdale Place is projected to open in Summer 2014 offering studio, one, two, and three bedroom floor plans as well as exceptional top-floor penthouse units.

StuartCo recently completed Genesee Apartments and Townhomes in Bloomington, The View at Long Lake in New Brighton, and 430 Oak Grove with Kraus Anderson in Minneapolis, adjacent to Loring Park.
