Yesterday, 45 StuartCo employees participated in a food packing event for Feed My Starving Children. This was our second packing event in 2013!
Feed My Starving Children provides life-saving meals to people who need them most all over the world — from countries affected by natural disaster to places enduring economic despair. FMSC meals are distributed in nearly 70 countries through missionary partnerships at orphanages, schools, clinics, refugee camps and malnourishment centers.
An few interesting facts about Feed My Starving Children: A single meal costs only 22 cents to produce, and 92 percent of total donations goes directly toward the food program. For more fun Facts about FMSC, click here.
During the two hour packing time, StuartCo packed 96 boxes of food. Each box contained 36 Manna Packs, and each Manna Pack provides 6 meals. In the end, we packaged enough food for 20,736 meals! That’s enough to feed 57 kids for an entire year!
