Louie Loves is a blog series that has Louie, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with impeccable taste (and a big diva attitude) visiting our StuartCo communities and reporting back with his take on the property and the surrounding neighborhood.
Louie scoffed when we called him our “guinea pig,”
So instead we’ll refer to him as our Apartment Connoisseur, testing things out and providing great recommendations for all future pet residents.
First up?
430 Oak Grove, StuartCo’s historic Loring Park boutique rental community.
This property features gorgeous limestone architecture, multi-level lofts, dramatic windows—and all in the heart of Minneapolis. We can’t get enough of these homes and the fantastic amenities, including a rooftop deck, fitness center, yoga studio, and fireside lounge.
But enough about what we think.
Let’s turn it over to Louie.
If you’re a city dog like I am, Loring Park is the place to be. It has everything I could ever want—cars to watch, geese to chase, and patio dining aplenty when I’m in need of some sparkling fresh water.
And then there’s 430 Oak Grove.
Every inch of this place—from the beautiful community room to the big staircase leading up to the fireside lounge—is free for me to explore (with my human, of course).
Not only that, the property manager is always happy to see me, and she’s always got treats on hand (as long as I can sit and stay, which can be a hard feat for me).
430 Oak Grove’s dog area is perfect for both my human and me—it gives me a place for a quick outdoor break and a chance to stretch my legs (no short remarks please), and it’s connected to the building, which my human loves.
I don’t know why you’d ever want to leave 430 Oak Grove—it’s so comfortable and so luxurious. Loft living is absolutely perfect for me—lots of space to chase a tennis ball! And I love being able to look outside the big window from my bedroom upstairs.
But if you do ever feel the need to get out and explore, there are so many places nearby that are happy to have you and your human.
Loring Dog Park and Dunn Brothers Coffee
What better way to start the morning than with a run in the dog park (me) and a delicious, hot coffee in hand (my human)? Both are located just down the street.
And if coffee is the best way to start the day, I know my human would say that wine is the best way to end the day. Good thing Bar Lurcat is just across the park—the patio is dog-friendly, and there is plenty of wine and water for us both to soak up a beautiful sunset while enjoying the delightful city atmosphere.
While I wish all of my friends could live in Minneapolis with me, I have buddies all over the country. One of my best friends is Scout, a Saint Bernard in Cleveland. If I don’t write to her at least once a week, believe me, I hear from her. Luna Lux is the perfect place to pick up some sweet stationery for her—and they always have treats waiting for me!
All in all, 430 Oak Grove (and the Loring Park community) receives four very enthusiastic paws up from me!
Louie is the CUTEST and seems to have really great taste, too 🙂
