Louie Loves is a blog series that has Louie, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with impeccable taste (and a big diva attitude) visiting our StuartCo communities and reporting back with his take on the property and the surrounding neighborhood.
When my human said we were headed up north, she wasn’t kidding.
For those who want to maintain a great balance between easy accessibility to the city without being IN the city, The View at Long Lake is a great choice. Located in New Brighton right on Long Lake, it’s just a few miles north of both Minneapolis and St. Paul. Yet with miles of walking trails, a beach, a fishing pier, and Long Lake Regional Park just a mile away, it really feels like you’re on a relaxing weekend getaway to the cabin!
I spent a very beautiful, very HOT day at The View, so before too long, I was ready to head inside—but not before admiring the beautiful landscaping and HUGE balconies each home has!
The apartment homes at The View are just as impressive as the landscaping. With granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, huge windows, walk-in closets, and most importantly on a 90 degree day—individually controlled air conditioning (and heat for the winter)—this home felt more like a palace.
I even got to try out one of those big private balconies for myself—complete with a view of the pool!
The View also has a fantastic list of amenities, including an outdoor pool with a sundeck and grilling area, theater room, 24 hour fitness center, and a lakeside party room, complete with billiards.
I’ll admit, I might have been a little worried that there was nothing around The View except the beautiful outdoors (I am a city dog, after all)—but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Fairview Wine & Spirits is just a short drive away in Roseville, and they love their canine customers! The friendly employee helped us select the PERFECT rosé to enjoy at the end of a hot day.
And for those who want to socialize on a patio with some local craft beer, Bent Brewstillery is just down the road, and they welcome dogs too! I made a few new friends during my outing. (Don’t worry, they serve us water instead of beer.)
After spending a relaxing day at the oasis that is The View at Long Lake, I feel completely recharged and rebalanced!
