Get to Know StuartCo

Please join us in welcoming Stacy Ekholm to StuartCo as Portfolio Director overseeing eight properties totaling over 1,000 units, including two downtown Minneapolis assets and a unique student housing and retail redevelopment.

Stacy’s multi-family management experience spans over 20 years with positions held at Shelter Corporation, CommonBond Communities, The Goodman Group, and most recently as a Regional Manager at Pinnacle overseeing seven properties in Minnesota and Nebraska. She has experience in project based Section 8, market rate, tax credit, multi-layered, and owner occupied homeowner associations across the Midwest.

Ms. Ekholm has earned three Minnesota Multihousing Association MADACS awards for Multi-site Manager, CIC Manager, and Team. She has earned numerous internal awards within the organizations she has represented, and most recently was one of five representatives in Pinnacle’s Emerging Leaders national program.  She holds the CRM, COS, and CMCA industry designations, and is currently a CPM candidate. She is active in the MN Multi-housing Association (MHA) and currently volunteers with the Hastings Veterans Home, MusikLink, and Backing the Blue Line. Stacy and her family reside in Cottage Grove, MN.

We  recently sat down with her to get to know her a little better with some fun questions.

What’s your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
Cupcakes!

Any pets? Kids?
2 dogs-an English Bulldog Puppy named Chanel that was a 15 year anniversary gift from my husband,  a Malamute-Husky (supposed to be my daughter’s dog!) named Milo, and a cat named Bella!  I have 2 girls, Meghan-8 and Lauren-13.

What are you most looking forward to about working with StuartCo? 
I am very excited to get to know my teams and co-workers.  Everyone has been very welcoming. 

Most of my co-workers have no idea I… 
Just competed for Mrs. Minnesota in April.  I didn’t win but still currently hold the title as “Mrs. Washington County.”

I love…
My family.  I am lucky to be married to my best friend, Jason for 15 years.   Of course, all things pink and sparkly.

The farthest from home I’ve ever been is…
Hawaii! 

The best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten is… 
“Always listen to your gut.”
