With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we’ve got love and relationships on our mind. We know that relationships take many forms, and many of those start within your home and the community in which you live.

All cornerstones of a good relationship. They also happen to be a few of StuartCo’s core values.

In celebration of this day of love, we turned to a few of our residents and asked them to share the love by answering the following question—when did you know your new home was “The One?”

GENESEE
Bloomington, MN

“We knew Genesee was “the one” when we saw all the great amenities, especially the rooftop deck! That was probably the moment we knew we’d love to live here. We also enjoy how close by all the stores and restaurants are. Being able to walk to places was really important to us. Genesee has provided us with the lifestyle we were looking for. We couldn’t be happier!”

“As soon as I knew that I would be moving to Minneapolis, I started researching prime locations and apartments.  I made a list of all of my expectations and priorities for my new home.

I knew from the moment I visited Genesee that I had found my new home. I was impressed with the convenient location—easy access to I-494, the airport and shopping. I was thrilled to see all of the wonderful amenities they offer—media center with 24/7 fresh coffee, underground parking, workout center, community room, swimming pool, weekly yoga classes and a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking the city.

Genesee has been my home for the past six months and I absolutely love it here. However, above all of the rest, Genesee’s greatest asset is their amazing staff.  They are all extremely hardworking, dedicated professionals! Each and every one of the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous.

“When my wife and I had to put our last fur buddy to sleep, the house we had was a pretty quiet spot and seemed too empty for the two of us. We started to look for a place to live convenient to our offices and managed by people we thought we’d like to be around.

Our visit to Genesee closed the deal very quickly. [Leasing Coordinator] Adam escorted us through the property and we were excited about the many extras Genesee provided. The Concierge services, especially the little details (like placing packages in our apartment, easy dry cleaning and free airport rides) and the [community amenities] were more than we expected.

We really felt at home as we started to meet the staff of the property, who have exceeded our expectations at every turn. They are always cheerful, available at all hours and never fail to stop and make sure we are happy.

HERITAGE LANDING
Minneapolis (North Loop), MN

“I knew Heritage Landing was ‘The One’ when I heard about all of the slamming apt events that happen each month. Our event planner Nicole has done an exceptional job creating fun events that bring everyone together. I’ve never lived in a place that has done this so well. Also, the building itself doesn’t try too hard to be new like many of the other buildings in the North Loop. It has nice features yet still maintains a comfortable environment. The location can’t be beat.”

“In the townhouse style units, we love the two-story layout and the separation of the living and sleeping spaces.  Each of the bedrooms also has an attached full bath, which we love for when we have guests stay!  The outside patio space for our unit is unbeatable in the North Loop area.  These factors together make living at Heritage Landing feel more like living “at home” than any other apartment we’ve ever had!”

“[Heritage Landing] was the first place we toured in our search for a perfect place to call home after living in the burbs for 35 years of our married life. After taking tours of at least 20 different properties from Northeast Minneapolis to Loring Park, we never could quite get Heritage Landing out of our minds.

Our two level townhouse is perfect for the two of us and allows our children to visit when in town. Guest parking was a huge selling point. Virtually nonexistent in the downtown vicinity! We have enjoyed the 9 months we have lived here and look forward to many more years at this location.”

“I knew Heritage Landing was where I wanted to live the moment we went on a [tour]. My buddy and I had pinpointed the North Loop and Northeast as our top choices of places to live and probably vetted 15-20 properties before making the decision to go with Heritage Landing. As soon as we went on our tour Heritage Landing rose to the top of our list- namely because of the layout of the units and the amenities, not to mention the rooftop! Heritage Landing stood out over the other properties in the North Loop primarily because of our experience working with the management team. We came in and let them know what we were looking for and they stayed in close contact with us as we moved closer to our ideal move-in date, keeping us informed of potential openings.”

E STREET FLATS
Arden Hills, MN

“There were several factors that played into our decision to make E Street
Flats our home.

• I was looking for an affordable three bedroom option. Once the manager showed me the unit, I was impressed with the space, the lighting and the cleanliness. I told my husband I could envision the two of us living here.
• It is conveniently located close to Bethel. My husband was a student, so a fast and easy commute to school was high on the list.
• The property manager was a huge seller for me. I knew I could trust her and all the terms and conditions of the agreement were easy to follow. We knew exactly what we were getting with making E Street our home.
• The gym. As a trainer, having a quality workout area is top of my list. I love the layout and the equipment!

We spent month and months praying for an ideal location for my work and his schooling. After seeing the unit we would potentially live in, I told my husband that I felt like our prayers have been answered. We are meant to stay here. We’ve been here three years and it’s the best decision we made!”

“I knew the property was the one when I saw how close it was to Northwestern and so many other things (Target, food and entertainment options).

The moment I fell in love with the property wasn’t until after living there for a couple months. After getting to know [property manager] Chelsea more, I knew it was home. She makes everything so easy. She’s understanding when other landlords wouldn’t have been and she continually goes out of her way to make sure her residents are taken care of.”

“I knew E Street was the best place for me because of the security of the building, the close proximity to parking, and the friendly staff. I like that it has a gym on the property and a laundry room. I like that the property is quiet without wild parties. It is near shopping and the Rosedale Mall. For me it is less than five minutes to work. I enjoy living at E Street and encourage others to live here as well.”

NORTHPOINTE APARTMENTS
Brown Deer, WI

“I am really happy here. I just moved here from Germantown and for relatively the same price, I am getting a ton of amenities along with free heat and air conditioning. The staff and maintenance crew are unbelievably helpful and friendly. Any issues that I had were addressed immediately. NorthPointe is kept very clean and people living here are also friendly. I hope to stay here for a long time!”

“After a shift in my life path, I found myself eager to move from rural NE Wisconsin back to city living. I knew I would need to live in an apartment to swing that goal. Finding one that could accommodate my pets and me in comfort was a challenge. NorthPointe hit all but one of my needs (location to my office) and even that one is not bad, just further than I wanted. The entire staff has been very welcoming and any maintenance requests I have had have been handled cheerfully and efficiently. I very much enjoy the property and the amenities and find this place a terrific value.”

RIVERVIEW AT UPPER LANDING
St. Paul, MN

“We have lived here for almost two years now and are proud to call it home. It is clean, comfortable and affordable. The location of our building is great, right next to the river offering walking/biking paths, a large dog park, and a short walk away from downtown St. Paul. The entire staff at Riverview really goes above and beyond my expectations. They plan several events throughout the year such as wine tastings, holiday parties, and painting classes. The maintenance team is very prompt and helpful when requests are submitted. The facility also offers many great amenities such as a workout room, several grills, a party room and more. From raising our first puppy to getting engaged, we have shared many memories here at Riverview that will last a lifetime.”

SOUTHWEST GABLES
Omaha, NE

“I wanted a place where we could feel safe. [Assistant Property Manager] Tabitha took me up to a second floor apartment. I was impressed by the controlled entry system.

Once we opened the door to the apartment, it was love at first sight, and I knew this was it and would become my eventual home. The laundry room containing a full-size washer and dryer was my favorite room- no more weekend trips to the laundromat!

Six years later, I am still calling Southwest Gables my home. My two cats have adopted the fireplace as their own heat source, and my apartment is known as “Grandma’s Place,” where a ride on the elevator takes you to a spare room full of toys. I cannot imagine another apartment that can equal what we have at Southwest Gables. This is home.”

“I like Southwest Gables because it looks nice. And the managers are nice. They always show movies every month and have snacks too. They have a gym, a basketball court, and a pool outside. I love Southwest Gables!”

YORK PLAZA APARTMENT HOMES ON THE PROMENADE
Edina, MN

“I LOVE living here!! I came here for many reasons. The location is prime. I can park my car on the evenings and weekends and walk to stores, restaurants, and Centennial Lakes for leisure walking. The apartments are very large. The staff is amazing—if there is a problem, they try to remedy it right away. My neighbors on my floor have been here a long time and I too, have found my forever apartment home. It is really a home here!!”

“We moved back to MN after being gone 4 years, selling our big house and ready to find an apartment. We knew we wanted to live in Edina so we checked out a couple of lovely new apartment complexes. But as soon as we walked into York Plaza we knew we were ‘home’!  From the first meeting with the staff to friendly residents speaking as we were checking things out to the spaciousness of the apartment itself and the beautiful view out our windows we have felt like we are on permanent vacation status – living in a place we would have paid a tour company to bring us. From the beautiful grounds of York Plaza itself to the fact we can walk virtually any place we need to – lake, mall, Starbucks, grocery shopping, restaurants and the list goes on. We hope we never have to move again – and after 23 moves all around the country THIS is home!!!”

“My husband and I knew we felt at home at York Plaza when we were all settled in our two bedroom apartment.  We love that it is a quiet place to live, our neighbors are friendly, and the maintenance guys are great!  We have enjoyed having the walking paths and the shopping so convenient.  I do believe our favorite part is how much we like our office staff. They have worked hard to meet our needs and answer questions. Or just talk for a few minutes.

As we are in the month of “love”, think about how you could make a difference in someone’s day, an extra minute of conversation? A compliment? Or maybe just a simple smile.  We need to stick together and look out for one another in our community.”
