At StuartCo, we are committed to providing places residents can be proud to call home. We’ve been a strong and stable presence in the Midwest since 1970 and part of our mission is to be a beneficial presence to our communities.
For one week each year, StuartCo residents and team members participate in Charity Week, a friendly competition to see which community can raise the most funds for charity.
This year, funds raised were donated to:
- Simpson Housing (Minneapolis, MN)
- New Horizons Shelter & Outreach Center (La Crosse, WI)
Funds are raised through unique activities and events hosted by on-site team members and attended by our generous residents. This year’s activities included:
- Jewelry/Yard Sales
- Taco Bar
- Pet Runway Event
- Bingo Night
- Bean Bag Tournament
- Dog Walking
- Change for Charity
- And much more!
This year, StuartCo communities raised just over $14,000 for Simpson Housing—with the StuartCo match, that brings the grand total to over $28,000! A HUGE thank you to all of our residents and team members who participated…
There was one community in particular who came together, planned and participated in order to win the coveted Charity Cup trophy for most money raised per unit. Three cheers for The Plaza residents and team members, who raised over $2,000 to give back to families in need in our communities!
The View at Long Lake, Riverview at Upper Landing, Heritage Landing, and Stonehill Apartments were fantastic runner up communities, all raising well over $1,000 each for Simpson Housing, with Riverview at Upper Landing raising the most money of any property—over $3,000!
Check out the photos from some of this year’s events—we can’t wait to see what everyone will do next year!

The Highland Ridge team came up with a unique way to raise funds—the Spare Change Jar challenge! A jar was placed in front of each team member’s photo, and the person with the least amount of change got a pie in the face. Leasing Consultant Vincent Foster was the “lucky” one who got dessert!
