StuartCo is comprised of many amazing communities, and we understand the importance of helping out and giving back in order to make all of our neighborhoods, communities, and cities stronger, better places to live.
Not only do we contribute financially to a wide variety of charities as a company every year, we also love to get our staff and residents involved in charitable activities.
For employees, StuartCo offers a Charitable Contributions Company Match Program—employees who make a donation to a 501(c)(3) organization may request the company match their donation up to $200. Additionally, each StuartCo employee receives eight hours of “Charitable Time Off” each year to volunteer with an organization of their choosing.
For employees and residents alike, we encourage different charity fundraisers throughout the year. We realize we cannot do it alone, and we are so grateful to our communities and partner organizations that work with us to contribute to making the world a better place!
So far this year, we’ve participated in two great events helping to contribute to fantastic organizations:
Pinky Swear Foundation
At StuartCo, one week every year is dedicated to Colors for a Cause, when the dress code is thrown out. For $1 a day, staff can wear their favorite colors to work, and all proceeds go to the Pinky Swear Foundation.
Before nine-year old Mitch Chepokos died from cancer, his dad made a pinky swear promise with him to continue to help children with cancer and their families by providing immediate needs support and unique family programs. The Pinky Swear Foundation eases the financial and emotional impacts experienced by families during a very challenging time.
Not only do staff donations go to this great cause, but StuartCo also matches all donations.
This year, we raised nearly $500 for the Pinky Swear Foundation!
Feed My Starving Children provides life-saving meals to people who need them most all over the world — from countries affected by natural disaster to places enduring economic despair. FMSC meals are distributed in nearly 70 countries through missionary partnerships at orphanages, schools, clinics, refugee camps and malnourishment centers.
During our two hour packing time, we packed 153 boxes of food, which means that we packed enough food for 33,048 meals, enough to feed 91 kids for an entire year!

Simpson Housing Services Backpack Drive
As families prepare to send their children back to school, we know that not everyone has the financial resources to buy the necessary supplies. In August, we host a company-wide Backpack Drive for Simpson Housing Services, which helps us embrace our mission of helping families and children in need.
Our staff, communities, and residents all participate in collecting backpacks and school supplies for families and children in need.
Last year, we set out to fill 22 backpacks for 22 kids with items such as notebooks, highlighters, pencils, crayons, and more. Not only did we achieve that, we also filled six additional backpacks! We can’t wait to see what our awesome residents and staff will do this year!
Simpson Housing Services mission is to house, support and advocate for people experiencing homelessness.
